So The-Dream's new album "Love Vs Money" came out on Tuesday, and I only got around to looking at it. It's pretty good to be honest, here's the bonus track, titled "Hater". It's a slow one. I also added one of my favorite songs from the album, "Put it Down".
He's a little late with this one, but Mos Def did his own version of "Brooklyn (We Go Hard)" by Jay-Z, and named it "Brooklyn (Go Hard)", notice the absence of the "We". Mos Def's often named one of the best rappers of today, and he's good on this one. If you somehow don't know, he's been doing a lot of acting lately, doing films such as "The Italian Job" and, more recently, "Be Kind Rewind". Check it out.
So you might remember the Psycho Realm we posted a few months back. Well, they're back and here's a video of their newest song "Psycho Realm Revolution" which came out yesterday. The video's bad ass, and the song, it's pretty good, except the chorus isn't the best. Check it out.
For everyone that has been asking. This is the newest song I could find with Weezy. Rumours are that Diddy and Cam'ron are suppose to jump on this. Weezy's usually the first on many remixes.
I was excited to hear this news. If you don't know, Yeezy likes The-Dream a lot. These two on a LP would definitely kill it. Still in the talks though.
I'm a CuDi fan, that is the main reason I'm posting this. Definitely not one of his best songs, but still decent enough to listen. It's hard to top off his last "Sky Might Fall". Will be posting more soon.
I'm not that big of a Fat Joe fan, but I found this to be a pretty dec' song. It's Joe's first single of his ninth studio album "Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E.). The album was suppose to drop on April 7th, but has been pushed back to May 19.
Yepp, this was the *apparent* cover for the album, which was cancelled by Universal Records on the 4th of March. They decided to throw in the towel because of mixed reviews the news recieved, with "Prom Queen" getting not as much hype as was hoped for. What the label is doing "is looking to build on Wayne's popularity, not destroy it."
Found this the day before yesterday, it's a new Akon song, we haven't heard from him in a while. His album "Freedom" I must admit had some head-bangers. This one's more in an R&B direction I guess, it's alright. Check it out.
I thought this was pretty funny. John Mayer and Kanye working on "Bittersweet", way back in February 2004. John Mayer's a pretty funny guy, must admit, give it a quick watch.
It's been a while since I've done a Biggie post, and yesterday was the twelfth anniversary since his death. Found some pretty dec' songs on the new Biggie Tribute mixtape that dropped a couple days back. Beats been altered just a bit, but it still sounds good. Definitely not as good as the original of course, but worthly of a post. It's a Cookin Soul production, so I usually expect the best at first.
So that's Keri Hilson's new video for the song "Make Love". If you don't realize who the guy in the video is, it's Kanye, so the video co-stars KanYeezy. Second, if you remember that short period of time we had the song up, you'll have downloaded "Knock You Down". It features Kanye West again, but also has Ne-Yo. I gotta admit, the more I listen to this song, the more I like it. Listen to it at least from 2:50, it's Kanye's verse, and it's sick, he actually raps. Definitely do not skip this one, Ne-Yo's voice is great.
Didn't know much about this guy after I did some googling. A Puerto Rican Rapper from Brooklyn formely signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment Record Label. That's just about all I thought was interesting. I know this beat from somewhere, just cannot place it. I know you'll love it though.
Dat New "New" has been a song on iTunes for a while now. Never bothered to listen to the song actually, until I listened to the Viking Remix. I really enjoyed the remix, so I had to listen to the original; I was impressed. This is for the CuDi fans.
I never liked "Prom Queen" too much, but I heard the original song before all the little things were added. Not too much difference, but I definitely like it better. Listen to "Hot Revolver" below, much better. We've probably posted it like 5 times, but it keeps getting removed.
Royksopp is an electronic duo from Norway. The pair teamed up with one of my favourite female artists Lykke Li. I'm always excited to see what new song she comes out with. This one is definately one to listen to.
I first heard of TreaZon in 2008, when he had a track with Drake. This new one "Elevator Music" is dope. The man's a pretty talented artist so check him out.
Not sure if this is a new song or not, but I've definitely been seeing it on a few web spots. Seems that recently Drake's been doing a lot of tracks with Lil Wayne, and they're getting better every time. Drake's verse is sick in the one, Lil Wayne killed it too.
