Just in time for today, Novel has come out with a Valentine's Day song. This song is fire, and I have to say, this be sick tingz. Novel's pretty underground right now, not too many people know about him yet. The grandson of R&B artist Solomon Burke. Happy Valentine's Day From Novel
Just in time for today, Novel has come out with a Valentine's Day song. This song is fire, and I have to say, this be sick tingz. Novel's pretty underground right now, not too many people know about him yet. The grandson of R&B artist Solomon Burke. Mixtape: Drake

Right on Valentine's Day, Drake has decided to drop his lastest album; So Far Gone. There's been a lot of talk about Drake, and it seems a lot of people like him. I'm going to post the songs I thought were pretty good. Drake provides some nice beats to bump to. No word on when Drake is dropping his debut album this year. My favorite on this album is definitely "Uptown".

Coconut Records: New Single

Coconut Records is the musical project of Jason Schwartzman. Jason's first (and only, to date) album was called "Nighttiming", and featured two popular songs known as "West Coast", and "Summertime". "Summertime" became so popular, Excel had aired it in one of their commercials. Jason's music can be considered down to earth indie, with a folk flow. Jason's lastest single-Microphone-was dropped in late December. Pretty catchy.

We Gonna Rock Down to Electric Avenue
Eddy Grant's one hit wonder has a cover now, and what a cover it is. Toronto's electric duo is releasing an EP of remixes, and restyling many different songs. I've always liked "Electric Avenue" and when I had come across this, I could not pass the opportunity. The group was signed by the Montreal bases record company; Paper Bag Records. Claimed one of the five bands to watch in 2008 by Exclaim! Magazine.
School of Seven Bells
Every now and then, I need an uplifting song to start my day off. Something that doesn't have too much bass, bit more synthesized, and a woman's voice in the background. I came across this track, and I find it pretty deeccc (decent).School of Seven Bells is originally from Brooklyn, New York. The group started off in 2007, when Benjamin Curtis of Secret Machines teamed up with the two identical twins; Alejandra and Claudia Deheza. The name originated from a secret South American pickpocketing academy. Very random, I know.
Charlie!
I'm excited, because today is the day that Charles Hamilton drops his new mixtape; Well Isn't This Awkward. This is Sonic's Valentine Day mixtape for all you that celebrate. I'll be posting more of these tracks over the next few days, just in time for V-Day, don't worry. Sonic spits some pretty sick rhymes on this track. The beat isn't that catchy, but decent. Give it a listen for sure though.

Remember: Big Punisher
Not new, just unpopular
This is a track I've known for just about three years. It came out in 2003, and not too many people heard it. I felt that I should share this great song with others. These guys above call themselves the "Hilltop Hoods" which is a pretty sick name. Give it a listen.
