New Killers Video - Spaceman

So here's the new The Killers video for the song Spaceman. It's a good song, and the video's pretty insane. It's weird, but pretty cool at the same time. Check it out.

The Killers - Spaceman

Jay-Z and Fitty, Izza Kizza + Trouble Andrew Remix

So with the new Kickdrums mixtape Smash the System coming out soon, I wanted to post a couple songs I liked from it. The first is Jay-Z featuring Fitty, it's a nice melodic song, good rhymes, and a nice piano tune, I liked it. It also kinda borrows Chris Martin's line from Kanye's Homecoming, you'll notice it. Second, by rapper Izza Kizza, this one samples some Cypress Hill, it's called Insane With My Pimp Game (Based on Insane In The Membrane). It's pretty catchy, feels upbeat and all.
Lastly, for those that liked Trouble Andrew, who was posted a few posts back. This is a remix of his Chase Money, pretty sick remix. So if you liked that, check this one out too, for sure.

Remember: Eazy-E

Eazy-E is one of my favorite old school rappers, wheather he was in NWA or solo. He made Compton proud with his rebellious lyrics; Fuck Tha Police is a perfect example. Unfortunately Eaz passed away, but his voice still carries on. Two of the next tracks are just plain sick for unofficial remixes. The next two are just classics, even though Eaz was only featured in one of them.

New U2 Album!

U2's coming out with a new album supposedly in February, but I can't say for sure. They released a song last week which will be posted. I've also included The Strokes and a song by Sufjan Stevens; the first 30 seconds or so sound a bit wierd, but give it a chance I enjoyed the song even though it's long as hell.
Also, if anybody has noticed, some of our past posts have been getting deleted. We're working on possibly getting a .com website to fix this problem.

U2 - Get On Your Boots
The Strokes - Meet Me In The Bathroom
Suvjan Stevens - You Are The Blood

New Eminem! + New Asher Roth!

These two guys are the best white rappers in the game. Eminem's been around for more than 10 years, but Asher Roth only started last year, and you can hear the similarities.
If you haven't heard this song yet, you've probably been living under a rock or something, cause it's spreading really quickly. About a month old, Crack a Bottle was first leaked where Em did all the verses, but this is the final version, no DJ tags or anything. The song features Dr. Dre, who also produced it, and 50 Cent.
Second song, Asher Roth's 'I Love College', got onto iTunes about a week ago. The song has a pretty catchy beat, with lyrics to follow. Ironically Roth left college to pursure his hip-hop career. He was signed by SRC, Def Jam, and Warner Bros Records. Roth is expected to release his untitled debut album March 17, 2009.

Eminem Ft. Dr. Dre & 50 Cent - Crack A Bottle

Obama

So I'm not a big Obama fan, but it's been three days since Obama's inauguration, and everyone around the world is waiting on seeing his first steps. He already stated that he supports Israel in the conflict with Hamas, and released a pretty hefty deficit for his first year, but we'll see. This song, and its remix represent the recent events in the United States. I never imagined a mixed President in the White House in my life time, so this truly is an accomplishment. Obama is still human, not a super hero like everyone makes him out to be. Obama has inspired Jeezy (who inspired Hova) to produce two pretty sick tracks. The live video of the remix was posted a couple days ago, and I know these tracks aren't too new, but the inauguration was on the 20th.

Three Oh Three!

If you haven't heard of this rap duo before, definitely check it out right now. They're called 3OH!3, pronounced three-oh-three, and these guys are from Boulder Colorado. They've got some of the sickest songs coming out of 2008, and you can check out their myspace here, they're currently on tour. Take a listen to all of these songs, I tried to include all the different types of songs they have, if you like them, search them up on iTunes.

3OH!3 - Richman
3OH!3 - Colorado Sunrise
3OH!3 - Holla Til You Pass Out
3OH!3 - Still Around

Deadly Combination

This is a freestyle I found off a mixtape a while back. Honestly, after one listen I was hooked. Gemini's an unknown rapper in the game, but he has mad flow. On the other hand, everyone knows Lupe Fiasco, one of the best in the game. Not one of his greatest, but decent enough to listen to.

Gemini Ft. Lupe Fiasco - The Mighty Dynasty

New Master 3

Has anybody heard of Master 3? I just came across this artist today, I checked out his MySpace and I like what I've heard so far. He's a rapper from Illinois and isn't currently signed to any record labels. If there's any new artists that you want on here then you should leave a comment and I'll check them out. I also included a song by Fleet Foxes which I liked a lot.

Master 3 - Not Of This world
Fleet Foxes - My Konos

Unreleased Lil Wayne + T.I. and Akon

Neither of these are really new, but they're both pretty unheard of. The first is a track from Lil Wayne again, and he's really doing something different. It's got a lot of annoying DJ tags, but other than that I like it. The first line is actually a Green Day line, so that's interesting, definitely check it out.
The second, also a great one, is T.I. featuring Akon, and it's actually got a sick beat. It reminds me of Akon's classics like Cross That Line and Soul Survivor, so it's worth a listen.

T.I. Ft. Akon - Hero
Lil Wayne - Hot Revolver

My President Is Black Remix With Jay-Z

Jay-Z My President is black Remix LIVE 1-18-09 from pleasedontstare on Vimeo.

New XV + Track from Varsity

XV is a rapper from Kansas. Currently, he's doing a 40 Days / 40 Nights project where he releases a track in the AM and the PM of each day. He raps about girls, comics, video games, and about his settlement in the Coolniverse. This is a song he does over Yeezy's song Bad News off of 808's & Heartbreak. Not bad.
On top of that, we've got a group, actually a boy band, called Varsity, or Varsity Club, they're really unknown. I have no idea how I got this song, it was originally labeled as Kanye, but after some research, it was these guys. It's pretty catchy I guess, you might wanna check it out.

XV - Bad News
Varsity - Insomniac

Mixtapes: Terry Urban

So Terry Urban is a mixtape producer, and I gotta say he's got some good stuff. He likes to put Coldplay together with hip-hop artists, and he was the guy who made Viva La Hova (Coldplay + Jay-Z). There were a few pretty sick tracks on it, I included one in this post.
His latest mixtape is Terry Urban Presents How My Brain Works 2. He mainly mixed hip-hop and rap with rock, alternative, and some oldies. I also included two Lil Wayne tracks from that. If you like what you hear, I also added a link to download a zip of the whole mixtape. Viva La Millie's gotta be one of my favorites off the tape, so definitely check that out, and listen to at least 1:30 before making your decision.

Lil Wayne Ft. Coldplay - Viva La Millie
Lil Wayne Ft. Buffalo Springfeild - Thinking Of What It's Worth
Jay-Z & Coldplay - Life of Clocks
Terry Urban Presents How My Brain Works 2 - Full Mixtape

Tupac Duets!

This is one of my favorite mixtapes. As you can see, it was based upon the Biggie Duets. Not to many people seem to know about this, so I felt that I should share it with you guys. Here are two of my favorite tracks.

2Pac Ft. Eminem - Dear Mama Part II
2Pac Ft. Big L & Big Pun - Juice

Softie of the Week 1: Nevershoutnever!

The first Sick Tingz Softie of the Week is an artist, Christofer Drew Ingle, who performs under the name Nevershoutnever!. This 17 year old guitarist and singer has been around since 2007, and is currently being managed by The Working Group. NSN!'s from Joplin, Missouri and he's a vegan. He starting working on his debut album on the 5th, and recording is expected to take 3 or 4 weeks.
His songs are always soft and nice, so here are two of my favorite songs by him. The first is pretty new too, not even two weeks.

Nevershoutnever! - Trouble
Nevershoutnever! - Your Biggest Fan

Florida's Flo Rida

Everybody knows Flo Rida. He first got popular with his single Low, featuring T-Pain, followed by Elevator, featuring Timbaland, and lastly In the Ayer with Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. With a new album coming out in 2009, this Rida's been hard at work. Here are three of this latest songs. He seems to be doing a bit of sampling in this album so far.

The Psycho Realm

The Psycho Realm was a rap group back in the late 90's. It has some pretty twisted songs and the group included member B-Real from Cypress Hill. This song's not as intense as some of there others, but I really like it.

The Psycho Realm - Psycho City Blocks

Remember: A Tribe Called Quest

So basically, these guys are a group from New York City, and have been around since 1988. They made music until 1998, but reunited in 2006 for a US tour, and soon enough, a new album. Group members include Q-Tip, Phife Dawg,  and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Here's some classics, the first; most people know it, the second and third songs are both sick too, give them a listen. A Tribe Called Quest - Award Tour
A Tribe Called Quest - Keeping It Moving

Reebok Collection 09

I love looking at shoes, and I stumbled upon Reeboks spring-line up for this year. The shoes are bright, colourful, and hot. They do resemble Ato Matsumoto's with the large strap over the front, and another one over top. You can expect this trend to continue into next year. No word yet on release dates. I decided to add a classic about shoes.

Nelly - Air Force Ones

Japanese Cartoon

Japenese Cartoon (aka Lupe Fiasco apparently) is a new and upcoming indie artist. No word on how this got around, but apparently Lupe has left the rap game and been putting on a fake British accent; Lupe denies any relation whatsoever. 'Firing Squad' is the newest single out, but I've also included another song that came out late last year. Personally, I prefered the old Lupe.

Biggie Remix

In celebration of the new Notorious movie that came out Friday, I wanted to post one of my favourite Biggie remixes. I saw the movie opening day, and I gotta say it was sick tingz. So make sure you check the movie out, and if you haven't heard this before, deeefinitely check it out.

Notorious B.I.G. - Party and Bullshit (Ratatat Remix)

KiD CuDi

KiD CuDi is another extremely talented artist upcoming from 2008. He was featured on Kanye West's new album 808's & Heartbreak, and was voted to BBC's list of most likely breakout acts for 2009. You may have heard of him, you may have not, but these are two of my favourite song's of his, especially the first, which samples Band of Horses - The Funeral. I included it in the post. Really though, check this guy out.

Superstars? Okay..

So Ya Boy's got a new song. I never really liked him, but cought a listen of this and I found it pretty catchy. It's featuring E-40, Glasses Malone, and even has a little bit of oldschool Kurupt. You can preview the song in the link, and download it if you like it.

Fresh Charles Hamilton

Charles Hamilton is probably one of my favourite new artists from 2008. This song is pretty decent, and has Rihanna's song Take A Bow playing in the background.

Charles Hamilton - Most Likely To Succeed
