Fresh Gorilla Zoe

Gorilla Zoe's a pretty good rapper that I've known for a while. He's got a deep scratchy voice that makes his music interesting. He's got a new song, and it's different, he pretty much sings the rap. I actually like it, he's sing-rapping about a girl. Check it out, it's not bad.

New Pay$0z

I never really even knew how to pronounce Pay$0z, but he's releasing a new album titled "Going Against The Grain" some time in April. The beginning few words really remind me of Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down". Check it out.

New Flo Rida!

This one's weird, samples "Blue (Da Ba De)" by Eiffel 65. That was like my favorite song when I was 10. Off of "R.O.O.T.S.", could be the next single. Give it a listen.

Flo Rida Ft. Wynter Gordon - Sugar

Gucci Mane & Papaduck

We've been getting a few requests for Gucci Mane, so I found a song that's decent. It features Gucci and is titled "Cocaine Money". I know, the title makes it unnattractive, but it has an okay beat. It's one of those almost militaristic beats, with the trumpet sound. Check it out.

Wa’Jee

I just came across a rapper named Wa'Jee. I just have to say, I was not expecting what I heard at all. The song starts off kind of mediocre, but as it evolved, it just grew on me. The song's basically about Obama, and how he's not doing the job everyone expected him to do. It's rare to find critisism towards Obama in hip hop, so this is definately something to listen to.

Eminem Album Date Confirmed!

Alright, so finally, thank god, Eminem confirmed a release date for his album "Relapse" on May 19th, this year, PLUS stated he will be releasing a "Relapse 2" also in 2009. At the end, I included all the versions of "Crack A Bottle" I have, including remixes.

SANTA MONICA, CA - March 5, 2009 – Eminem, the biggest selling music artist of the decade, officially announced the street date of his eagerly awaited new album; his first original studio album in over four years. Relapse (Interscope/ Aftermath/Shady) will be released on May 19, 2009. The first single from the album and its accompanying video will see a simultaneous release on April 7th.

Anticipation for Relapse has been building since the fall, when Eminem first announced the album title and debuted the freestyle, “I’m Having A Relapse,” during an interview on his Shade 45 satellite radio station. Last month, the release of “Crack A Bottle” from Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent brought that anticipation to a head. The track soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (Eminem’s second #1 after 2002’s “Lose Yourself”) and set a Nielsen SoundScan record for opening week download sales (418,000). The recording ranked third in the history of all weekly download sales. “Crack A Bottle” will be included as an album track on Relapse.

With the announcement of the release date for Relapse also comes confirmation of something that had been rumored in recent weeks: Eminem is already working on a follow-up album, Relapse 2, that fans can expect in the second half of 2009. “A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” said Eminem. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”

Eminem has sold more than 75,000,000 albums worldwide. His previous studio album, Encore, reached #1 and dominated the charts in late 2004. Certified quadruple platinum and spinning off four Top 40 Hot 100 hits, the Grammy-nominated disc has sold more than 11,000,000 copies around the globe. The #1, double platinum, 2005 greatest hits collection, Curtain Call: The Hits and #2, platinum, 2006 various artists compilation, Eminem Presents: The Re-Up, followed. In October 2008, Eminem released “Eminem: The Way I Am”, a book compiling thoughts, stories, and memorabilia from various points in his life. The book entered the New York Times Best-Seller list at #11.

Cursive

I heard this song a couple weeks ago but couldn't find the name or artist. If you know Cursive, you'll probably know the song. If not, check it out. It's a nice indie song, I really enjoyed it and was pretty pumped when I finally found it this afternoon.

Cursive - From The Hips

Little Boots - Day N' Night (Cover)

Found this on Pigeons and Planes, and I liked it. I find the piano a nice touch to the song.

The Real Fake Shady (Asher Roth Diss)

So, an artist by the name of Copywrite has created a song dissing Asher Roth. In his perspective, any white rapper with tight rhymes is Eminem. The lyrics in this song are pretty good, and the beats are from some of Eminem's songs. It starts with "Just Don't Give a Fuck", then continues with Jay-Z's "Renegade" which features Em. Truthfully, I like Asher, I like what he's doing with hip-hop, and what he's rapping about. There will always be haters in the game, but Copywrite caught my attention definitely.

Melanie Fiona

I know the original of this song, and it's pretty decent. Melanie is from Toronto, Ontario, and is just becoming popular. She's apparently working with Yeezy right now for an opening of a new show. Not sure who created the remix, but it's pretty good. I like Busta Rhymes' voice. Definitely expect her to be an upcoming artist in the future.

Charles Hamilton Songs

Another post for Charles, and this time it's off two of his mixtapes. The songs are pretty dec', not his greatest, but worth a post for sure. The first song is off "Excellence in Execution", and the second song is off "Perfect Life". Give it a listen.

New Artist: Mateo

I was just looking for mixtapes and new artists, when I came across Mateo. He's an RnB artist. This is the only track on the tape which I liked. Shawn Chrystopher has a verse in there. It's a nice slow song, fans of RnB should enjoy it.

New Lil Wayne - Prom Queen Video

So Weezy's "Prom Queen" video came out today. I never liked the song that much, but here it is. That's Korn in the video, but they're not actually in the song.

Heartless Cover by The Fray

I forgot to post this when I found it, but some of you might remember The Fray's cover of "Heartless" by Kanye West. It was pretty dec', so check this one out if you're an "alternative" genre lover.

The Fray - Heartless (Kanye West Cover)

New Luck-One & Dekk

Luck-One is a producer, and Dekk is a rapper, and thanks to wonders unknown, they teamed up to make an album, called, for a reason, "Beautiful Music". They've released a new song called "80's Back" and I didn't really like it at first. Once you get through it once or twice, you start to like it, so take a listen.

Charles Hamilton Freestyle Cypher

This is a video of Charles Hamilton that has joined in a cypher with fans. It's pretty sick of him to do that actually. I really enjoyed it, there was no true winner, just those two guys spittin' some rhymes. The fan tripped over some words, but overall was pretty good. Charles was sick tingz, his flow was smooth. Definitely watch this.

New MeLo-X

MeLo-X is a rapper/singer. He decided to sample KiD CuDi's "Day 'N' Nite" and it's not bad. He slows it down and raps over the beat. Check it out.

KiD CuDi Too Short Freestyle

So this is a little old, from December of last year, but I just found it. On CuDi's blog he says:

THE BEAT IM RAPPING OVER WAS PRODUCED BY ILLFONICS WHO I FEEL ARE DOPE AS SHIITTTTT….IT IS A SONG IM WORKIN ON FOR MY ALBUM

Pretty sick, I must say. You can see the post at kidcudi.com right here.

Aw Yeah, Finally Here With the CuDi

I know you're just as excited as I am. This be sick tingz definitely. All I have to say, is enjoy the beat. Also, for all that do not yet know, this was the song featured in the Transformers 2 trailor posted earlier on. This is a Kanye West production.

New Busta Rhymes - Turn My Swag On Remix

You know that feeling? When everybody is doing something, and you wanna hold yourself back as long as possible, but it just gets difficult? Well, I guess Busta Rhymes went through this after seeing his fellow rappers Fabolous, Young Jeezy, and Lil Wayne get on Soulja Boy's "Turn My Swag On" remix. This is his verse, which'll probably be added to the rest, so I'll look out for it. Check it out.

Asher Roth 20 Minute Freestyle!

Asher Roth, while in London, has been releasing freestyle after freestyle, and he recently decided to do a 20 minute one. It's pretty insane, and goes over several Eminem classics, until Ash says he doesn't wanna compete, then it goes over Mos Def's "Oh No", Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" and a ton of other instrumentals. I only made it about 12 minutes through, but he's sick over "Lose Yourself", which starts at 2:35. Check it out for sure.

Jay with Busta

I only have a few of Jay Rock's songs, but I like each of them. Not one of his best, but it's worth a post. Jay's featured with Busta Rhymes on this track.

Jay Rock Ft. Busta Rhymes - Beat a Rapper Down

Another Roth Freestyle

Asher's done it again with another freestyle. This be sick tingz. Roth has mad flow on many of his freestyles, especially this one. His Highly anticipated album "Alseep in the Bread Aisle" is going to be dropped April 21. Can't wait.

New! Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

I love Bone Thugs, and I love their flow on each song. When I came across this, I was excited. It's a reunion, and this song is expected to be on the new album; Uni-5. No release dates yet. This song is including everybody, so definitely give it a listen if you're a fan.
